A Note From Simone
As Founder/CEO of Don’t Get Mad Get Paid, I am excited to build and grow this company. Every day I get up with the most exciting job ever – and that is to build a company that has such a profound impact on the people that we touch. For more than 20 years, I was a private consultant working with women on one-off contracts navigating them through their complicated process of child support recovery. Today, I am leading a team.
It is an exciting process to find and hire people who share your mission and who are just as excited to join your team as you are to have them be a part of it. My team helps me to drive the mission and the values of the company, and we incorporate them into everything that we do. We walk our talk.
If you are wondering who this team is that I have brought together turning a “me” into a “we” and an “I” into an “our,” I thought it would be great to pull the curtain back a bit and have you to meet the team of people who make up Don’t Get Mad Get Paid through our Center Stage blog series.
Each week we will feature a different team member by having them answer a set of questions so that you can get a better sense of who we are as a high-growth tech company. After all, one of our favorite company values is transparency.
This week, we are meeting our newest team member, Christina Delligatta.
What’s your role at Don’t Get Mad Get Paid?
I am a Developer at Don’t Get Mad Get Paid. As a developer, I get to be apart of Don’t Get Mad Get Paid’s reach towards customers. I feel like each daily task I have is impactful towards helping customers get closer to their child support needs. I love being apart of a legal tech startup because I get to have an impact and help people daily.
What attracted you to the company Don’t Get Mad Get Paid?
I love the transparency that Don’t Get Mad Get Paid has and the impact that Don’t Get Mad Get Paid has on our customer’s lives. Aside from the empathy and compassion the company shows, I was attracted to the CEO/Founder’s vision and mission. CEO/Founder, Simone Spence, is a domain expert in child support collection. Her previous experience in back child support collection, along with her passion, piqued my interest, and I gravitated towards joining the mission to help moms collect what they are owed.
What impact do you have that you are most excited about?
I love that Don’t Get Mad Get Paid is a legal tech startup and that our goal to help customers collect back child support. The work we are doing is life-changing. I love being apart of a company that is not only transparent but loves to respond to their customers from a place of compassion, empathy, and humanity. That realness that is exuded by Don’t Get Mad Get Paid leads to customer success and creates a product for our customers by people who care.
What makes you most excited to be apart of the team right now?
I love the team environment and how each team member at Don’t Get Mad Get Paid truly cares and listens to our customers. The most exciting thing about being apart of a legal tech startup like ours is hearing about customer success stories and how customer’s lives change because of our product, Athena.
If you could instantaneously pick up a new skill, what would you choose and why?
If I could pick up a new skill instantaneously, it would be manual dexterity. As a lover of music (I love to sing) and as a creative at heart (you’ll catch me writing from time to time in my spare time), I would love to be able to pick up the guitar or write out comic books swiftly. I would love to create comics that are informative as well as comics that are humorous or an escape from reality at times.
